Hi I'm Erfan – a developer, founder, and creator.

I’ve been working on the web for over a decade, mostly around JavaScript, React, and Next.js. Along the way I’ve helped teams ship production apps, taught frontend engineering at a university, and mentored folks who wanted to get better at building real products.

I co‑founded an EdTech startup, worked as a lead developer at Canva, and spent years building large-scale frontend systems. Some things worked really well. Others didn’t. All of them taught me how to build better software — and how not to.

These days, I'm building and curating Next.js Weekly — a newsletter that helps thousands of developers keep up with what’s actually happening in the Next.js ecosystem. It started as a side project and gradually grew into something a lot of developers seem to find useful.

I’m also teaching web development online. I like helping people go from “I kind of get this” to “I shipped it.” — and build the confidence to keep going on their own.

Right now I’m consulting, mentoring, and shipping small products. Mostly experimenting. Mostly learning. Always building.
